Check out this awesome sketching package that allows the artist to sketch in 3d. I imagine it would take some time to get used to, but very interesting indeed! I wonder if we’ll all have to be ambidextrous in the future?

Here are some cool sketches/renderings done by Gousman Vadim and Maxim Shershnev over at Cardesign.ru. There was definitely a lot of wonderfully inspiring work and great concepts to look at in the end. It is always good for me to look at work like this and study the technique or style…maybe even trying to replicate [...]

The End of Driving: Mike and Maaike introduce the Autonomobile – Core77.
Here’s an interesting car concept from Mike and Maiike (San Francisco), and an excerpt from the article…

There are a few videos in the pipeline including this number on pencil sketching, shading, and linework.
Sorry guys, no marker this time. We’ve also got another pencil/marker sketch, and a two part digital sketch demo by yours truly coming up. Not exactly sure what John’s up to, but I’m sure he has something good coming [...]

Here is some great work by Justin Oaksford who just finished his 2nd term of Entertainment Design at Art Center in Pasedena, CA. I saw his work and instantly became a fan. I had a chance to ask him about his workflow:
“It’s a good idea to sketch your reference, as you can memorize more details about it. Then I [...]
