Welcome to the Weekly Sketch Challenge

Well, i've gotten a little encouragement to start this, so here it is- a weekly sketch challenge- think of it as Sketch-a-Week. It's nothing huge, just a chance to have fun designing something new and bring some healthy competition to the community.

So here's how it works: each week, you get an assignment of something to design & sketch: it could be literally anything. The same rules apply for each week.

~Submit your entry on this thread in one image with a maximum size of 1280x1024 pixels.
~Don't submit design boards with all kinds of pretty colors, keep it very simple and true to the sketch
~Include as many views as you like, but make sure the final design is clear.
~Make sure your design has a name.
~If you do action shots, everyone will love you, so include them if you can.
~Make sure you convey all of the features of your design well, people will judge you on the features, of course.

Regular sketching-
~one pen/pencil
~one or two colors of marker/pencil

Digital sketching-
~onepen/pencil brush
~one or two large/other brushes (paintbrush/marker,etc)

The idea is to focus on sketching, not rendering, which is why you are limited in supplies.

Winners will be voted on by the community- since there is no poll option here (correct me if i'm wrong) to vote for your favorite design at the end of the week, (contest ends each Friday @12:00 midnight, forum time) PM me with the design you liked the best in the subject line- make sure it's not yours . Voting will end Sunday at 12:00 midnight, and winners will be announced on mondays.

Whjen you get a car, you get another little present with it. You put your keys on it, and it has a few buttons. Yes, it's a key fob, and it can be one of the most beautifully understated parts of a car's overall design. Here's a few interesting examples

I wonder if people are getting scared away because of the "competition" aspect. For me its just a topic that helps me focus and practice. Anyway, Ill be posting some things later this weekend...Saturday...since the weekend is here. Lets hope others will be doing that as well.

Wow! Excellent work, both of you. Great sketches, hopefully the community will keep them coming, as it is a little slow. If you have any revisions/updates, be sure to post them so we get a better idea of your projects.
