haha...yeah, I was gonna say something about that. My point with this sketch (other than just practice) was to point out both the fundamental failings of the iPad, and the fact that it also created a gaping hole in Wacoms product lineup where it could be competing, but currently isn't. Their 12WX Cintiq tablet is slightly more portable than the big boy, but certainly can't be considered portable in the same way that a product like the iPad can be considered portable. I see an opportunity for Wacom to come to market with a true digital sketchpad; making it functionally mirror a traditional Cintiq, accomodating other medias, and keeping it (somewhat) affordable would be the touchstones of the product. It is a truly exciting product concept to me....so much so that I may continue development into a 3D model, and maybe evn a mockup. Keeping it simple with an interface like Android or Chrome OS would be important here; I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, just fill a product gap for a company i'm passionate about.
