Simple but extremely effective

Drawing effective and simple figures for designs has always been a problem for me. So in a search for some help and inspiration, I found this guy. Update: His name is Joseph R Tomlinson (Thanks peeps) and this is his blog.  His work sometimes creeps me out a bit but his style is cool and full of simple pen and marker drawings.

Anyone doing a design project centered around the homeless?

I believe his name is Joseph R Tomlinson. He does some really cool work. I’ve been following his blog for a bit now, and I’m really excited to see how the new sketchbook turns out.

I read a little information about the ID drawing approach to figure drawing in ImagineFX magazine. But they barely touched on the subject. So now I’m looking for more information, and tutorials on the subject.

Actually I parcially take back what I said they do give a few good examples, but they touch on each subject so briefly that it makes you feel cheated.

Let me see. Here’s the link to their forum: (http://community.imaginefx.com/forumsthread/298954.aspx) After i bought the mag (expensive) I actually found scanned pages of it on the net, of course I can’t find any of those links tonight. If i come across them again I’ll post the links here.

For my senior industrial design project, I am designing footwear to meet the functional and access needs of the homeless community. If you would like to see the project thus far you can find it on coroflot.com/seandenniston or I can send you pdf. The project is in its third stage of development and defense, hoping to finish and propose by october.
    keep up the good work.

    Nate-
Your feedback on the “BREAD” project would definitely be appreciated! I just gave a midterm presentation and uploaded the project update on coroflot, so any insight you have would be well timed!

    Thanks so much.
