SketchBook Pro is an incredibly easy and straight foward piece of sketching sofware available for Mac or PC. (seriously it will take you only a few hours to learn). The folks at Autodesk have been working hard to make it even better with an update version available soon! Our friend Chris Cheung over at Autodesk has just posted an awesome preview of the up and coming release of Sketchbook Pro 2010. We couldn’t be more excited to get our hands on it and try out all of the new features! Check it out!

News: Autodesk New Sketchbook Pro

Very exciting!
I’m really looking forward to the sketching with symmetry, the straight edge ruler and elliptical ruler.
Thanks for your site. It is truly a goldmine of resources. It would have been nice to have it available my first couple of years as an ID student to reinforce what was taught in school.
perfect.
cool! when can we download the trial?
Well I’m not sure if they are going to release the trial version right away or just keep SBP 2009 up for download. I guess we will all be waiting to see! Stay close for more news on this when it drops.

Looks like some great updates!
Wow, can’t wait to get my hands on it.
It’s a good thing I was alone at the office today, because there was an audible outburst when I saw the ruler and ellipse guide. The rotate canvas, custom brushes should be really nice too. Actually, everything looks great, though I don’t see myself using symmetry much (though others do, apparently, so maybe I will).
I do wish there was a bare bones text tool, so I could make neat callouts without going to another program. But even so, I’m definitely excited.
