So you might have noticed things are a little different around here . . . 

We’ve upgraded and updated the site in a way that should make it zippier and faster to load. Allow me to walk you through some of the updates.

Updated Theme:

We’ve upped the contrast for an improved reading experience. To the right you’ll find a cleaner looking sidebar. Remember to get involved and sign up for the RSS feed for updates as well as twitter and our Facebook fan page. Mini conversations are always welcome on twitter, but if you want or need more feedback, simply join the forums and post your questions. We have a thriving community of over 300 members and it’s growing.

Use the new share link to share the post or site link with your friends on a variety of social network sites. We’d appreciate it!

Updated Essentials Resource:

Our essentials section has been a steady resource for all to learn from. If this is your first time to the website, it’s a good place to find your bearings or brush up on some basic skills and tools. We’ve broken it out into more detail to create a richer experience. Look for additional content being added as well as videos in the near future. 

You can also now find the category “toolbox” listed here for articles on basic marker rendering, proportion, and perspective to name a few.

Revised Video Library:

If you click on the video link in the menu, you’ll notice you can now find all the videos in one place. You can still use the search bar to search for keywords or tags and see if a video or topic matches your search, but if not, you can always head to the forums for more help.

This one has needed to happen. All the videos in one place without having to backtrack through older blog posts.

Those are the main changes to the site, but let us know if there is any bugginess still happening. I happen to do most of the coding/hacking, so lemme know and I’ll try to fix it. If you’re trying to register on the forums, and you are using internet explorer, you WILL have issues. I’m working on this one, but it’s a little lower on my priority list. Just be sure to email me if you have any questions or concerns and as always, spread the love and share the site with others!

P.S. The forums aren’t done with the changeover just yet – there’ll be some graphic quirks and what not, but bear with us. All good things in time.
