Sketch-A-Day #1

Well, it’s been a long time coming. Frankly, I need the practice, and what better way than to revive sketch-day. So everyday (if time permits), right here, I’ll be posting at least one sketch. I even have a calendar reminder, so you can expect fresh sketches every day. This one was inspired by the movie district nine. I drew it from my head.

    I always love your style man. Did you take any figure drawing/anime/illustration classes prior to ID? You’ve got a figure drawing ability most ID guys don’t have.

    Nope. Never took a figure drawing class. Always just practiced. Still not there yet tho :-)

    Nice sketch! been doing a One-a-day type of deal too, but kind of slacked off lately because of a school project. I’ll get back on it once it’s handed in :) I’m looking forward to seeing your daily stuff!

    not sure where to feedback. But, I honestly really liked the look and feel of the website before the changes. Your site was much more visually appealing to me. Also, seems like content was easier to access and the pages flowed better. your light color bullets and lack of separators make it difficult to view.

    Also, I really liked your original black logo – much “cooler” to me – this one seems flat.

    Anyway, just some honest feedback – you guys are still great and have a great site.

    I really enjoy your site and have donated in the past. Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for the thoughts Mike! Change always takes some getting use to, but it wil be better in the Long run. I’ll take a look a the contrast and get that worked out. Look fine on my screen. This is a work in progress and def nit my full time job, so please bear with me. Thank for your patience and patronage.
