wow great work with markers…I m just learning with my markers but your style is for me big inspiration.
Are you currently employed as a designer? Are have you been a casualty of the depression ?
I’m self employed and work as a design and visual communication consultant
Another great sketch Spencer! And I really like the preceding SAD 26 Painter rendering of the robot. I hope you’ll do some additional follow-up on your Painter brush settings. of course, I understand if you prefer to not divulge too many secrets!
What is interesting is the really retro style you’re showing here, harks back to the late 1970′s old school techniques. And in looking at the work by your colleague and co-founder John (or former co-founder???), his style is very modern and more digitally influenced.
Regarding your last reply, you are no longer with Astro?
Thanks!
I’m no longer with ASTRO. I decided to venture out on my own and try a few new things.
Good luck Spencer! A lot of us ID’ers are doing the same!
Now this one I really like, good contrast, punchy colors and the forms read great. This is imho about as good as a marker sketch can get. Did you start with markers and then added pen? How long did it take to draw it?
Not sure, but it’s one I did while watching a TV show.
