cool. Looks like the robot that killed Robocop. Or the Mechs out of Avatar.
Hi, How long does it take you to this in photoshop, and how many layers???
your fineliner sketches have much more character though. its hard to keep the flair of a quick sketch and define shapes properly at the same time i think. or does anyone know how to adress this?
Looks like some inspiration from District 9. The mech-suit in that movie was pretty awesome. I really liked the cockpit area.
I would be interested to know your process for the Photoshop work, did you scan a line sketch in? did you just work in Photoshop with out a underlay? Also what kind of time did it take you to produce this sketch/rendering?
This one and the post two before this had no underlay. Just building up of shapes that are fill colors in photoshop until the form reveals itself. This one took about 1/2 hr. Not my favorite thing I’ve done, but fun nonetheless.
Spencer could you do a quick tutorial on how to get that concept art look that you’ve had with the last few posts I love it and have some trouble’s figuring it out, is it just transparencies?
