Hi Spencer, very nice work. I have a question though. Why did you chose to color this drawing in painter and the printer from dec. 3rd in photoshop?

Well, I wanted to mix things up a bit. i hate being complacent and so I wanted to try something different. Truth is, I haven’t used Painter in a LONG time, so I’m not the best at it, and the best way to get better at something is to practice.

Hey Spencer, Do you use a Cintiq, or an Intous? Any tips for Intuos users?

I use an Intuos 3 table . . . an oldie, but goodie. The best advice I could give is practice practice practice. Hand eye coordination is critical when using an intuos. I like to sit with the intuos directly below the screen where I am sitting. I find that helps me with alignment.

Ah that makes sense. I myself am not very proficient in sketching in ps, but i am in painter. Better start working in photoshop to get my skill set more complete. Do you have any specific tips for sketching in ps?

    SWEET! Where can I buy?????

    - Oh, wait, this isn’t Yanko Design…

Great sketch. Interesting to see the transitions of both the printer and the robobug from paper to tablet back to back. Both were very different sketches but with similar end results.

Thanks for posting these — it’s been the final kick in the butt I’ve needed to make myself draw every day, even if I’m supposed to be doing something that doesn’t involve drawing.
