Hey Vector Victor,
If you want to use a shape layer as a selection simply Ctrl+Click the vector mask, or on an Apple, us Apple+Click and that should do it for you.
Otherwise there is a button at the bottom of the Paths pallette (if you want to use a Path as a selection)
Hope this helps.

Hey, Spencer,

You have such an awesome, efficient way of working. I'm a graphic design newbie, but the one area in which I'm pretty experienced is vectoring. Since I see you do a lot with the selection tool, is there a way to turn a vectored path or shape into a selection? Maybe it's superfluous, since I suppose I could just make a new layer and clip mask it, but I'm just wondering if there's a way to be more efficient like you.

On a separate note, how much should I charge for my first render drawing commission? Any ideas?

Thanks!
