Great video. Are any more vids that talk about line tension? It's a concept I would like to learn more about but doesn't seem to be covered anywhere.

Great Video, it's always a thrill to watch a professional work their magic. This is a question about the sharpener you are using. Which brand is it? Right now I have an Xacto electric, it's a top loading style, not to thrilled about it. Always ready to cough up the dough for what the pros use :-D

Mmmm not that I can think of. I just had good professors and work with some talented people like John. You could check out the design sketching book that's pretty popular, or wait till we write one. hehe.

Thanks for stopping by the studio. I wasn't there toooo long, so I prolly missed out on meeting a bunch o people. Maybe an IDSKETCHING.COM meetup is in order.

Nice walkthrough. It was really helpful to see the process from start to finish. I know it was a longer video but it didn't feel that way.

I've drawn for a long time as an amateur doing detailed character designs and scenery. I tend to draw more with my wrist using mechanical pencils. If I'm practicing drawing with my shoulder should I opt for pen or wooden pencils? Are there any books you'd recommend for ID sketching fundamentals and techniques like defining surfaces?

I popped by Astro for the open house hoping to give my thanks to the ID Sketching crew but I think I arrived too late. Nice space, I loved the big Astro/SOMA graphic.
