Video Tutorial: Scooter Sketch

I’ve been wanting to buy one of these for some time now, but since I can’t, i thought I’d just do a sketch demo of one. The video starts out with some basic perspective construction principles and then shows how these relate or help me build the scooter in perspective. I’m using Bienfang Tracing paper in the video (though most kinds will do), Pilot Fineliner Pens, and Prismacolor Black pencils (my pencil of choice). You can mix pencils and pens when you sketch, and this video shows how I do that to help put some life into the sketch I’m putting down on the paper;. Leave a comment if you have any or join us in the forums for discussion. You can also send us a tweet on twitter. I put an app on my iphone and desktop, so you should be getting a speedy reply.

We’ll also be adding some super basic videos in the near future. Thanks to the kids @ CCA for helping with tips on what they wanna see. If you have something you’d like to see on the site, sent us a tip to info [at] idsketching.com.
