We’ve had quite a few requests on how to draw cars, and while I am no exotic car designer, I can draw a mean pinewood derby/toy car. The principles are the same – basic perspective, good line quality and line weight, proper control of your tool, and relax while you sketch. As you watch the video, noticehow I start sketching this more complex object by drawing a box to establish the overall perspective before moving on to the more interesting details.

Please, leave comments and/ or join us in the forums if you would like to post some sketches or videos of your own. We have a growing/thriving community there and would love to have you be a part of it. Enjoy!
